  Dinner was delicious and all of our steaks were cooked to perfection. Overall service was lovely.

  It was actually less than 1: More like 0.5 or 0.25. The server was incredibly rude and not knowledgeable at all about the food. I informed that I have a shellfish allergy and then he refused to serve me escargot, which is a land snail (not a fish) although it is part of the benthic animal category as shellfish are, it is not a fish. I've eaten snails many times. After his confrontation with us, we decided it would be easiest to switch our appetizer to a salad but he informed us we could not do that as they had simply removed the snails from the bone marrow for the appetizer originally ordered! HAH! It would be funny if it hadn't been so insulting (not to mention expensive for what it was.) The bone marrow was too much and not very flavourful. We decided to have steaks for our mains since the place is supposed to be a steakhouse but neither were cooked as we had asked. (My husbands was too rare and mine wasn't rare enough - we had ordered medium and medium-rare respectively.) We were unable to order a second glass of wine as the waiter then avoided us. He did not ask how the food was. We got the bill without being offered desert. We were out for a romantic meal celebrating a milestone and we were sat next to two tables of four, one of which had children at the table. It was a waste of $150. We have had meals in many major cities, including recently in Quebec City, Toronto and New York City which were much much nicer, tastier and cheaper. This was probably the biggest disappointment as far as a meal out goes that I've ever had. I have to assume the other reviewers are friends with the owners.

  If you want to eat at a proper steak house, this is your place. Taken the S/O here any times, she and i love the atmosphere and the service. Place is a little expensive, but fair. Better prices than the Keg with even better quality

  Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and more importantly, GREAT food and lots of it. Not one of those expensive places that when you leave you are still hungry. We were both stuffed. I would go again in a heart beat and highly recommend it to anyone.

  Amazing food! Excellent quality and excellent service! Rare find in Peterborough to have every aspect of a meal excellent and nothing sub par.
